SEATTLE, Wash. — An unknown Seahawks fan just scored themselves a shiny new ring and piece of Seattle history.

Heritage Auctions says this weekend, as part of the August Platinum Night Sports Collectibles Auction, someone paid more than $50,000 for the first publicly available Championship Ring from the Seahawks’ 2013 Super Bowl win.

It was expected to go for more than $20,000, and greatly exceeded those expectations.
