Roosevelt Elementary School Briefly Placed On Lockout

BELLINGHAM, WA (KGMI.com) – Roosevelt Elementary School was on Secure protocol for a brief period Wednesday morning.

The school said on its website that students reported seeing a person with a weapon walking on a nearby trail around 10:41 am.

Secure protocols were lifted 20 minutes later.

Police are monitoring the area for further suspicious activity.

Classes were not disrupted by the lockout.
