EVERSON, WASH. – Ostrom’s Mushroom Farms is shutting down its Everson facility in June.

The company says the Goodwin Road farm is “small, aging [and] no longer cost-effective to operate.”

Ostrom also says “it has become increasingly difficult to attract labor to the farm.”

The closure will impact 65 employees.

Everson mushrooms are sent to Olympia for packaging.

You’ll still be able to buy Ostrom’s products in Whatcom County at Haggen, Safeway, Whole Foods, and Fred Meyer.
