Seattle Mariners minor league outfielder Kyle Lewis is one of eight Mariners prospects invited to play in the Arizona Fall League, The 22-year-old is the organization’s top prospect and one of 11 players on MLBPipeline.com’s Top 100 prospects list to get get invited.
The Arizona Fall League released its rosters Tuesday for all six teams beginning play the second week of October. Lewis will play for the Peoria Javelinas. Along with Seattle, the team will be comprised of players from the Atlanta, Boston, San Diego, and Toronto organizations.
Between the Arizona Rookie League and single-A ball, Lewis has played 42 games in 2017. He is currently hitting .256 with 6 home runs and 22 RBI’s for the Modesto Nuts of the California League.
Other Mariners minor League position players chosen include outfielder Braden Bishop, catcher Joe DeCarlo and infielder/outfielder Eric Filia. Pitchers Matt Festa, Darrin Gillies Max Povse and Art Warren were also invited.
