Mt. Baker ski season extended as new storm arrives

GLACIER, Wash. – The Mount Baker Ski Area’s season is extending into April.

In fact, they expect a shot in the arm from the storm system that arrived Sunday night, April 3rd.

One to two feet of new snow is forecast for the ski area and in the North Cascades.

The Heather Meadows Lodge and facilities are now closed but the lower White Salmon Lodge is still operating.

Travelers into the high country should expect winter driving conditions as the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory through Tuesday.
