M’s finalize trade with Mets, also send Segura to Phillies

The Seattle Mariners Monday traded shortstop Jean Segura to the Philadelphia Phillies. The M’s also part with relievers James Pazos and Juan Nicasio.  Seattle gets back veteran slugger Carlos Santana and infielder J.P. Crawford.

Also Monday the Mariners finalized the long-rumored deal with the New York Mets.  Seattle sends second baseman Robinson Cano and closer Edwin Diaz to New York in exchange for outfielder Jay Bruce, pitcher Anthony Swarzak, pitcher Gerson Bautista, outfielder Jarred Kelenic and righty Justin Dunn.
