Meridian’s Galiano named a WIAA Athlete of the Week

Meridian High School wide receiver and defensive back Kevin Galiano has been named an Athlete of the Week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association for his performance in the Trojans state playoff win over Elma.

Galiano had three interceptions on defense, returning one for a score, to go along with a touchdown catch as the Trojans beat the Eagles 40-21.

Meridian next plays Colville in the state quarterfinals Saturday at 1:00 at Civic Stadium.
