BELLNGHAM, Wash. – A man is in custody after being accused of sexually assaulting two relatives when they were minors.

Court documents state that the assaults were initially reported to the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office last year.

Both victims, now adults, said that the suspect raped them on several occasions when they were children.

The suspect denied the allegations to the victims’ family and investigators.

An arrest warrant was issued for 28-year-old Edguar Zavala-Alvarez earlier this month.

He was arrested on Friday, February 10th, and remains at the Whatcom County Jail without bail.
