Lynden man arrested for threatening to kill six people

LYNDEN, Wash. – A Lynden man was arrested after threatening to kill several people on Facebook.

Court documents state that 56-year-old Timothy Ehlers posted a long rant on August 16th, targeting six different family members and neighbors.

In the post, he specifically threatened to shoot all six people.

The victims told investigators that Ehlers was upset because had been evicted from their home several months prior.

They added that several guns that belonged to Ehlers’ late father were missing from their property.

Ehlers has a lengthy criminal record, including several felony counts, meaning he can’t possess any weapons.

He remains at the Whatcom County Jail on $150,000 bail.
