Lynden High School forward Clayton Whitman has been named a WIAA Athlete of the Week for his performance in the state championship game against Selah last Saturday. The Lions defeated the Vikings 60-51.
At the State Tournament Whitman averaged 23 points, 5.33 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.66 steals, and 1.33 blocks per game. He was named Tournament MVP after he helped lead the Lions to their second consecutive 2A state title.
