BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Apparently, we brew some pretty good beer in Bellingham.

Four local breweries brought home hardware from this year’s Great American Beer Festival (GABF) in Denver on Saturday, October 8

Kulshan Brewing won gold medals for their Transporter English Brown Porter and their Gose German Sour Ale.

Wander Brewing won a silver medal for their Champagne Toast Sour Ale.

Boundary Bay also took home a silver for their Blonde Ale.

And while Chuckanut Brewery closed their Bellingham location recently, they are still brewing great beers in Burlington.

They won yet another gold medal for their Chuck Light Lager.

The GABF is the largest beer festival in the United States.

According to the GABF website, they had over 500 breweries pouring beer this year and around 40,000 people attended the festival.
