BELLINGHAM, WA – The South Bay boat launch on Lake Whatcom will be closing down through September as crews will be working on renovations.

Whatcom County Public Works announced the boat launch will close next Monday, August 21st, and remain closed through September 30th.

They say the renovations will include a new boat ramp, boarding float, improved parking and vault toilet.

Boaters looking to get out on the lake can still use the launch at Bloedel Donovan Park every day from 6 am to 8:30 pm.

Other inspection locations that are available for boaters to launch from can be found here.
