Kulshan Brewing wins state award for workplace safety

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham brewery has been recognized for their work behind the scenes.

The Washington Food Industry Association has named Kulshan Brewing Company as this year’s Excellence in Safety Award winner for small businesses.

Kulshan got top honors for addressing workplace concerns in a quick and efficient manner and for making upgrades to improve worker safety along the way.

The brewery also uses weekly check-ins and an open-door policy to make sure their employees have a clear line of communication.
