WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Whatcom County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating after two dog walkers reported finding a body in the middle of an access road to South Fork County Park at about 8 a.m. Saturday.
A Sheriff’s Department release says responding deputies to the scene in the 1500 block of Mosquito Lake Road found the person dead from “significant trauma.”
The department hasn’t released the person’s age, gender or manner of death as the investigation continues and family is notified.
