GoFundMe set up for Bellingham teen struck and killed by train

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The teen who was struck and killed by a train in Bellingham on Tuesday evening, May 30th, has been identified as Lucy Guerra.

She was a 15-year-old freshman at Bellingham High School.

BNSF Railway says she was struck on a trestle near Eldridge Avenue at about 5:30 p.m.

Bellingham Police say paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say that her death was likely a “tragic accident.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up to cover her funeral expenses.
