FERNDALE, Wash. – The Ferndale School Board has narrowed its search for a new superintendent to six finalists.
The candidates come from districts as close as Ferndale and Bellingham and as far away as an international college in Bogota, Colombia.
They include:
Heather Leighton, currently a middle school principal in Ferndale; Dr. Karin Dominguez, an assistant superintendent with Bellingham Schools; Daniel Chaplik, Superintendent of the Sultan School District; Dana Rosenbach, Current Superintendent at a district in Mason County; Paul Peterson, Superintendent at Scappoose School District in Oregon; and Dr. John Parker, Director of Innovation at an international school in Colombia’s capitol city.
They’ll each take part in a 50-minute interview with the school board on Saturday, March 19 at Horizon Middle School.
The interviews will begin at 8 a.m.
