Ferndale man dies after crashing pickup truck underneath semi

Lynden, Wash. – A Ferndale man is dead after driving underneath a semi-truck near Lynden.

The State Patrol says the 37-year-old was speeding southbound on Northwood Road towards the roundabout as the semi was driving through it Monday afternoon.

The man entered the roundabout at Badger Road and drove underneath the semi’s trailer, which tore the top off his pickup.

Troopers don’t know if drugs or alcohol were involved.

The semi-truck driver from Canada was not injured.
