NEW YORK – The pandemic has claimed yet another big retailer.

On May 15th, J.C. Penney became the fourth major retailer to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The company said it will be closing some stores and will be disclosing details and timing in the next few weeks.

The fate of their store in the Bellis Fair Mall is still unknown at this point.
