Eighth person arrested in connection Sedro-Woolley woman’s murder

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested an eighth person in connection with the murder of a young Sedro-Woolley woman in early April.

They say 21-year-old Courtney Lea Kinley of Bellingham provided criminal assistance to her boyfriend, Tyler J. O’Keefe, while he eluded capture.

O’Keefe is accused of being one of three men who were in a truck that ran over and killed 21-year-old Darian Sather in a Whatcom County park on April 4th.

Investigators say she was killed while trying to recover money the men stole from her during a drug deal.

The three men face 1st degree murder charges.

Four other people also face charges for assisting the suspects.
