WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A massive drug trafficking operation led to nearly a dozen arrests earlier this week in Whatcom County.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration, made the arrests on Monday, July 25th, and Tuesday, July 26th.
In total, 12 suspects were arrested, 11 of which were in Whatcom County.
Two of the suspects face federal charges.
Investigators confiscated over 50,000 fentanyl pills and seven kilograms of fentanyl powder, along with large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine.
In addition, 34 firearms were seized, along with a vehicle, an improvised explosive device, and over $58,000 in cash.
Several agencies, including Bellingham Police and Homeland Security, assisted in this investigation.
