Driver faces multiple charges after Chuckanut Drive crash

BOW, Wash. — Four people were hurt, one of whom was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, after what troopers believe was a DUI crash Tuesday evening on Chuckanut Drive near Bow.

The State Patrol reports Collin Lewis of Ferndale was driving with Resa Gipson of Bellingham and two other teen passengers from Bellingham at about 5:30 PM.

Troopers believe Lewis was speeding when he struck the guardrail during a turn, left the road and went down an embankment.

Gipson was airlifted to Harborview, Lewis was also hospitalized, but the two teens had only minor injuries.

Lewis faces charges including driving with a revoked license, an ignition interlock violation, DUI and vehicular assault.
