OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washingtonians impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic can now apply for emergency cash assistance.
The federal government has approved implementing the Disaster Cash Assistance Program in Washington state as a result of Governor Jay Insleeās emergency proclamation.
The program enables DSHS to offer cash assistance to Washington residents who need it to meet immediate, basic needs, like costs for shelter, utilities, clothing, and minor medical care.
