Direct flights to Tucson from Bellingham begin

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Allegiant Air launched new nonstop service from Bellingham to Tucson, Arizona yesterday.

The flights are year-round and operate twice a week.

Allegiant now has nonstop service from Bellingham International Airport to eight cities in the west including Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Palm Springs.

Port of Bellingham Commissioner Ken Bell says local and Canadian residents have been asking for this service for years and he’s excited the popular retirement and second-home spot is now on their list of destinations.
