Deaths in Bellingham under investigation

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Investigations are underway after two people were found dead in Bellingham this week.

Police Lt. Claudia Murphy says a person appeared to have died from natural causes along Woburn Street Thursday.

Witnesses said the person was sitting next to the sidewalk just south of Alabama Street when they collapsed.

Police haven’t released the person’s age or sex, but a witness says they appeared to be male.

The cause of death is under investigation.

A person was also found dead in the 1000 block of North State Street just after 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Police aren’t releasing any more information about that death as an active investigation continues.
