BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Thousands of fentanyl pills were seized during a late-night arrest earlier this week.
Bellingham Police say that just before midnight Wednesday, October 19th, an officer spotted a suspect that was wanted on felony warrants in a truck near Telegraph and Meridian Streets.
The suspect attempted to park the truck and leave the area on foot but did not realize he was being followed by the officer.
A search yielded over 2,000 fentanyl pills, fentanyl powder, methamphetamine, a handgun, and over $16,000 in cash, along with other drug paraphernalia.
BPD added that the suspect, identified in jail records as 37-year-old Daniel Faix, had been arrested 39 previous times.
He remains at the Whatcom County Jail on $190,000 bail.
