Body found last week ID’d as missing Burlington man

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Officials have identified the body that was found in the Skagit River last week as 37-year-old Adrian Westhof, a missing person from Burlington.

Westhof had been living with his parents for several months before they reported him missing to the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office on February 19th.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection search and rescue team helped recover his body two months later, on April 24th.

Mount Vernon Police are still investigating the cause of death, but foul play is not suspected.
