Bellingham’s Waypoint Park notches second award

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham’s newest park continues to draw in visitors and awards.

The Seattle section of the American Society of Civil Engineers has given the Waterfront District’s Waypoint Park a Civil Engineering Achievement Award.

This award is given out to outstanding projects around the state like water treatment centers, bridges, and other engineering feats.

Several weeks ago, the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association recognized Waypoint as one the four best restored beaches in the country.
