Former Bellingham High School and Bellingham Bells star Austin Shenton was taken in the fifth round of the Major League Baseball draft Tuesday by the Seattle Mariners. Shenton is a third baseman at Florida International University.
He hit .330 with seven home runs and 47 RBI’s as a junior at FIU.
Shenton will be Mark Scholten’s guest in The Zone at 3:00 today on AM1170 KPUG.
