BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Bellingham woman is held on suspicion of 1st degree murder and other charges in the stabbing death of her father.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office reports 33-year-old Kali M. McConnell and friend Zachary Tellez of Ferndale went to her father’s home on Mission Road Wednesday evening where Tellez began arguing with her father.
Deputies say McConnell assaulted a woman living at the home, punching her in the face and knocking out a tooth.
McConnell is then accused of stabbing her father once and fleeing the scene with Tellez.
Both were arrested separately Thursday.
McConnell’s 57-year-old father died from the stab wound Thursday at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center
