The Bellingham Vet Center says they’re ready to help veterans and active duty personnel who may be struggling over events in Afghanistan.

They’re offering an Afghanistan community support group to help people through mixed emotions and old traumas.

Two therapists, one male and one female who have both served in Afghanistan, will lead the group.

The meetings will be virtual and people can share or just listen.

The center notes that it will not be a forum for political views.

The first meeting is August 25th and the program will last at least two or three weeks.

Those who wish to take part should call (360) 733-9226. The front desk will sign individuals up and have information on how to join the meetings.
