Bellingham man arrested for possession of child pornography

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man is under arrest for possession of child pornography.

A Homeland Security Department investigation led agents to 41-year-old James D. Phelps.

They served a search warrant on his apartment in the 3400 block of Woburn Street on March 9th and confiscated computer equipment.

He was found to be in possession of numerous photos and videos of child sex abuse.

A warrant was issued for his arrest on May 10th and he was taken into custody on Tuesday morning, May 17th.
