BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Several Washington airports, including Bellingham’s airport, will receive federal funding to mitigate impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.
U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell announced airports in the state will receive a total of $310-million in funding from the recently passed CARES act.
A majority of the money will go to Sea-Tac, and Bellingham International Airport will receive over $5-million.
The Skagit Regional Airport will also receive some funds as will airports in Friday Harbor, Everett, and on Orcas Island.
