Actor with Bellingham roots announces pregnancy

Another celebrity who spent her early life in Whatcom County is in the news.

Actor Hilary Swank made an announcement as she appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America on Wednesday, October 6th.

She is pregnant with twins at age 48.

Swank was born in Nebraska, but her family moved to a home near Lake Samish when she was six.

She attended Happy Valley Elementary, Fairhaven Middle School and Sehome High School until she was 16.

The Academy Award and Golden Globe winner is currently starring in the ABC series Alaska Daily, in which she portrays an investigative reporter.
