SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — Two Sedro-Woolley men are dead and two 18-year-old women were hospitalized after they crashed their car into a power pole on Highway 9 Friday night.

The State Patrol says 30-year-old Jonathan E. Egleston lost control of his GMC Yukon in a curve about 4 miles north of Sedro-Woolley and hit both a power pole and a jersey barrier before coming to rest on the northbound shoulder.

Egleston and 24-year-old passenger Jason A. Swanson were pronounced dead at the scene.

Kristina R. Keefer was taken to Harborview Medical Center and Jasmin M. Picken was taken to Skagit Valley Hospital.

Troopers don’t know if drugs or alcohol were involved, but say speed was a factor in the crash.
