I-1366 to limit Legislature’s ability to raise taxes

The initiative provides that if lawmakers do not put I-1366 on the ballot by next April 15th, that the sales tax would be reduced by a penny on the dollar. From 6.5 cents to 5.5 cents. This would cost the state about $1.4 billion in revenue.
