ANA Wants Boeing Cash, Rather Than Discounts, For 787 Grounding

Seattle, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Boeing Co's biggest customer wants the company to compensate it in cash for losses incurred since the 787 Dreamliner was grounded in mid-January.

Reuters is reporting All Nippon Airways wants cash compensation instead of discounts on future purchases.

All 50 Dreamliners have been out of service for two months following a couple of incidents with the plane's battery.

ANA operates 17 Dreamliners and is considered to be the hardest hit airline due to planes being out of service.

Boeing hasn't said whether it would compensate air carriers for losses related to the Dreamliner's grounding.
