New Effort Being Made To Get More Kids Health-Insured

Olympia, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Despite the state's budget problems, officials are making a new effort to get state health insurance to more needy kids.

"The Seattle Times" says the state is also urging higher income parents who need insurance for children with pre-existing conditions to use an open-enrollment period that begins tomorrow.

Most premiums range from free to $30 a month per child.

There will be other options starting October 1.
