Roethlisberger to restructure contract

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has reportedly restructured his contract to help the club in its salary cap issues.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Roethlisberger reworked his deal on Thursday morning to save the Steelers about $6 million for the 2013 season.

The Steelers, according to the report, also restructured deals with wide receiver Antonio Brown and linebacker Lawrence Timmons earlier this week. The moves will allow the Steelers to clear about $14 million for the start of free agency.
