Kids' High-Tech World Focus Of Annual Community Night

Bellingham, Wash. -- A local middle school is responding to parent concerns over how to get more involved in their children’s lives.

Many are frustrated saying they’re having trouble keeping up with their children’s fast paced, high-tech world.

Bellingham’s Shuksan Middle School is holding their Second Annual Community Family Night tonight to address cyber and Facebook safety, gang prevention and other subjects affecting kids today.

Shuksan Assistant Principal Janae Hodge says this event last year was a huge success because it created the opportunity for community groups to connect with parents and kids.

The free event takes place from 6 to 8:30 tonight at Shuksan Middle School.
