Sehome High School Closed Today

Bellingham, Wash. -- No school today at Sehome High School in Bellingham after an explosion and fire knocked out power to the school and the surrounding neighborhood.

Officials say the blast happened in a boiler room on the campus shortly before midnight last night and required a three-alarm response.

People reported hearing a loud explosion and seeing a bright flash of light, after which homes in the area lost electricity.

Authorities say the fire was contained to the boiler room and there were no reported injuries.
