Marcus Mumford: 'We really want to rap'

Grammy-award winning band Mumford & Sons is interested in experimenting with new sounds, including hip-hop on their next album, according to reports.

Frontman Marcus Mumford tells Rolling Stone that the band has been hitting up Jay-Z for input and that the band has practiced rapping in a backstage room on their tour.

“We really want to rap,” he said. “We’ve just got so much to say – saying it through a melody doesn’t really work for me. We’ve been talking with Jay-Z about it, you know. It’s gonna be a fresh experience for our band.”
