The League of Conservation Voters recently released its National Environmental Scorecard for 2012.
Experts from across the environmental community rank politicians from 0 to 100 based on their voting records.
League spokesman Jeff Gohringer says Senators Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray received a 93, a good score given that the national average is 56.
Gohringer says he is disappointed that public health and the environment have become such partisan issues over the last few years.
Gohringer also applauds high-scoring Congressmen Rick Larsen and Jim McDermott for standing up for their districts and fighting the special interest groups.
