Blaine Man Lucky In Washington Lottery

Blaine, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A Blaine man is $280,000 richer, thanks to the Washington Lottery.

Seventy-two-year-old Leo Wegner was checking about a dozen tickets at the Blaine Cost Cutter last Friday when he got the good news.

The Everett "Herald" quotes Wegner as saying "it's not enough to attract beautiful young ladies, so I'm probably pretty safe."

After taxes, Wegner cleared $210,000.
