Gas Prices To Rise Through Spring

Bellingham, Wash. -- Spring appears to be coming early when it comes to gasoline prices.

A gallon of gas in the Bellingham area now costs an average of $3.83-cents per gallon, up 35 cents over the past month.

Crude oil prices are also higher compared to last winter.

Jennifer Cook with AAA of Washington says gas prices typically go up after Groundhog Day.

Bellingham gas prices are 20 cents higher than statewide averages.

Cook says what is unusual about this year is that Washington gas prices are not in the top ten highest prices across the country.
