Widow Celebrates Husband’s Life Through Dahlia Legacy

Lynden, Wash. -- The wife of the man killed in a house fire southwest of Lynden this past weekend is remembering him as a kind man with a big heart and a green thumb.

Cory Wynne says her late husband, Walter Wynne, was best known for his prize-winning dahlias, which he grew and shipped to people around the world.

Cory Wynne says she and her daughter will continue to grow dahlias to keep Walter's legacy going.

A memorial service for Walter is planned for Saturday, March 2nd at 3 p.m. at 1408 Willeys Lake road, off of Enterprise Road.
