Inslee Picks Nelson To Head Department Of Revenue



Olympia, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Longtime banking executive Carol Nelson has been chosen by Governor Jay Inslee to lead the Washington State Department of Revenue. 

Nelson was chairman of Everett-based Cascade Bank for a decade before it was acquired by Opus Bank. 

Nelson served as Opus Bank's president for the Washington region for a year before stepping down last April. 

She'll replace Brad Flaherty as head of the revenue department.
