Bill Could Ban Employers From Demanding Facebook Passwords

Olympia, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A bill that's winding its way through the state Legislature would ban employers from asking job applicants for their passwords to Facebook or other social media.

KOMO News says the bill would also make it illegal for employers to make it a condition of your continued employment.

Violators would face a $500 fine.

Maryland is the only state to have such a law.
