PNAA Supports Airline Flights At Paine Field

Lynnwood, Wash.  (Metro)  -- The Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance announces it is throwing support behind an effort to begin commercial flights out of Paine Field in Everett.

During the organization's annual conference Tuesday, PNAA board secretary John Graham told attendees that commercial flights out of Paine Field will help the region's aerospace industry by enabling suppliers to draw from lower-cost workforces like those in Spokane, northern Idaho, and Montana.

The Federal Aviation Administration recently concluded that daily flights requested by three commercial airlines would not have a significant environmental impact on the area.

The cities of Edmonds and Mukilteo oppose the plan and say they'll challenge it.
