House Democrats To Propose Big Transportation Package

Olympia, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Look for Washington House Democrats to roll out a $6 billion transportation package today.

House Transportation Chair Judy Clibborn tells "The Seattle Times" that the measure would involved a gasoline tax increase requiring either voter approval or a two-thirds vote of the Legislature.

Senate Republican leader Mark Schoesler of Ritzville says he prefers public votes on tax increases.
