State Senator Janea Holmquist Newbry, Chair of the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee, says workers comp reform is their number-one priority for getting people back to work.
The three bills passed by the Senate would reduce the age restriction for settlements to injured workers, allow administrators to schedule independent medical exams and give workers of any age the option to enter into voluntary-settlement agreements.
The bills will now be debated by the State House of Representatives.
